Else-Marie and Kresten made their first visit to the Cariboo in 2006 and stayed here at Big Bar Guest Ranch, which at the time was up for sale. After months of negotiation, Else-Marie and Kresten were able to purchase Big Bar and fulfill their dream of owning a guest ranch.

In that first trip they fell in love with the Cariboo, like so many others. The people, the land, the wildlife are all inspiring. For them the ranch is about the passion for the cowboy way of life, and getting back to a simpler way of living where time has no meaning. This is what Big Bar is all about.

With the purchase of Big Bar Guest Ranch they feel that they have found their own little corner of heaven, which they want to share with people from all over the world.

Else-Marie and Kresten are still in Denmark running their farm, but come and visit their dream ranch as much as possible. They wish everyone a good time, with good food, good riding and great memories!
