Cabins 1 and 2 are identical cabins and set side by side on their own bench of the property. These spacious private cabins feature three bedrooms, a full bathroom with a tub and full kitchen facilities. The main bedroom down stairs offers a queen sized bed while the upstairs loft rooms offer one queen and two single beds. Each cabin has a beautiful view over looking the valley and our private lake. Watch the sunset from your private porch while the bald eagles sore before you in their hunt for fish below. These cabins are ideal for families or request to book both units side by side for larger groups traveling together. Set closest to all the action and the main ranch building these are our most popular units.
Cabin 3 is one of the original cabins built on the Big Bar Ranch property. This cabin features a large living room and dining area, full kitchen facilities and a recently renovated full bathroom with a large tub. The main downstairs bedroom boasts a deluxe king sized bed while the open air loft above can sleep up to three children or two adults on single beds. Ideal for a family holiday with younger children, this cabin will have you feeling like you have been visiting the ranch for generations. Built high above the other cabins, this unit has an outstanding view overlooking the lake and sits a short walk from the main ranch buildings. Ask any staff member, this is our favourite cabin.
Cabin 4 is our most private location, tucked away beyond the ranch, you'll feel like pioneers of these wild lands. Cabin 4 is another original building to the Big Bar Ranch and features full kitchen facilities and a recently updated bathroom with a large bathtub. This unit would be perfect for a couple looking for privacy or a young family seeking adventure. The main downstairs bedroom offers a queen sized bed while the open air loft can sleep two on single mattresses. Perched directly above the lake, you can watch fish jumping all day while you sit tucked away on your private porch. The sunsets are stunning too we promise.
The Cowboy's Inn is located in the heart of the ranch, amidst all the hustle and bustle of ranch life. The Inn houses 6 hotel style accommodations featuring either a queen sized bed or two single beds. Each room has it's own private three piece ensuite. The upstairs rooms offer an additional loft space which is great for kids and youth. Get in at the heart of the action.
The Coyote Lodge is a six bedroom residence, providing a total of nine beds altogether, a combination of single and queen accommodations. The lodge is ideal for large groups, family reunions and special events. There is a large communal living room with a brand new kitchen fully stocked with all your need. Two full bathrooms with tubs are located towards the back of the building. Porches on the front and back allow for enjoying the sunrise with a cup of coffee and the sunset with a glass of wine. The newest building on the property, the Coyote Lodge is perched above all the daily hustle and bustle of the ranch with gorgeous views of the valley.
Camping has never been better! Our beautiful canvas tipis are hand-crafted with native-style designs. Each tipi sits on its own site, surrounded by horses and connected by a winding road to the wash house. Tipis are available mid June to early September.
The Historic Harrison House is where we meet for relaxation in good company. Enjoy spectacular views of the creek from the terrace while the kids are playing on the lawn. Play shuffle board and billiards, jam out on a musical instrument, or just relax in front of the fireplace in the lounge. Built in 1936 with timber hewn from the property, the historic house is always cool even on the hottest of summer days. The unique stone fireplace invites guests to relax with a good book or enjoy shared experiences with new found friends. Browse through the extensive and varied library, breath in the soft earthy smell of timber and relax into this charming residence. If only the walls could talk.
Flowing directly from the deck is the sunny Harrison House Lawn, where you can make the most of the long summer days. The lawn provides ample space for the young and young at heart to play; kick a ball around, go head to head across the badminton and volleyball nets, test your luck with horseshoes or try your hand at Bocce Ball.
When the sun is shining and the birds are chirping, the Harrison House Lawn also provides the ideal spot to lie back and watch the clouds drift by. It's also home to our campfire, and incidentally the perfect place to finish your fun-filled day on the ranch.
When you hear the bell ringing, it's time to mosey on down to the licensed Sagebrush Dining Room located within the Cowboy's Inn. All meals are enjoyed at large communal tables and are a fantastic way to meet other guests, share your experiences and forge lifelong friendships. We take pride in serving delicious, healthy and comforting family style ranch cooking and our talented cook can cater to any dietary needs you may have.
